Drew Blyth Barrymore is part of the American stage and cinema family, the Barrymores. She is the granddaughter of John Barrymore, film legend. Born on February 22, 1975 Drew was only 11 months old when she appeared in advertisements. She was Melissa in the Walton's season 7 episode in 1978 and her film debut was in Altered States (1980). She is Gertie in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and went on to play in many comic roles. Drew has been praised for her talent as well as her beauty and free-spirited nature.
Drew had a recurring drug and alcohol abuse problems and visited rehab twice. She wrote her autobiography in 1990 Little Girl Lost. Since her child acting years, Drew has made Bad Girls, Boys on the Side, Everyone Says I Love you and The Wedding Singer. She is memorable in 50 First Dates.
Under her production company Flower Films Drew produced the Charlie's Angel's movies, Never Been Kissed, Music and Lyrics and Donnie Darko. She has produced Everybody's Fine and Going the Distance. Drew has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and appeared in 2007 People magazine's 100 most beautiful people.
Drew has donated over $1 million to the UN World Food Program and is a CoverGirl model and spokeswoman. Drew was married to Jeremy Thomas from March 1994 to February 1995, Tom Green from July 2001 to October 2002 and is currently married to Will Kopelman and they have one child, Olive.
