Born on November 22, 1958 the "Scream queen", Jamie Lee Curtis, Lady Haden-Guest arrived in Santa Monica, California the daughter of actors Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh. She was first known for her surviving parts in Halloween, Prom Night, The Fog, and Terror Train. Since her horror days she has won Golden Globe Awards for her work in different categories. In 1998 Jamie published Today I Feel Silly, and Other Moods That Make My Day which was a best seller. Jamie also appears in ads. Jamie married actor to Christopher Guest, 5th Baron Haden Guest.
In 1983 Jamie starred in Trading Places which gave her a BAFTA award for support actress. She was in 1988's A Fish Called Wanda which gave her a reputation as a comedic actress. She won a Gold Globe for 1994's True Lies. She has also been very funny in Freaky Friday in 2003. She was nominated for another Golden Globe for this film.
Jamie took a break from acting to raise her family. She did return in 2007 in Beverly Hills Chihuahua and in 2010 in You Again. Jamie was in the situation commodity, Anything But Love (1989). She received a People' Choice Award as well as a Golden Globe for this performance. Jamie has also acted in Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, The Heidi Chronicles and Death of a Centerfold: The Dorothy Stratten Story in 1981. Her 2012 role in NCIS placed her in the role of Dr. Samantha Ryan and a potential on-going role.
Jamie is a supporter of children's hospitals and is in a leadership position for Children's Hospital Los Angeles as well as a guest of honor for Women in Recovery a non-profit offering live-in twelve step programs for rehabilitation for women. James has two children, is a recovering alcoholic and prescription pain killer addict and has won the fight to stay sober.
