Dean George Tanaka (Dean Cain) on was born on July 31, 1966 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Dean Cain grew up in Malibu and wanted to be a professional football player. He completed a history major at Princeton and set an NCAA record of interceptions in a season. He signed with the Buffalo Bills, but a knee injury during training camp sidelined his football career.
He played a part in The Stone Boy (1984) at the request of his father and landed parts in commercials and on Beverly Hills, 90210. He was the headliner as Superman in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1993). Cain formed Angry Dragon Entertainment and produced the television series Ripley's Believe It or Not! He has also starred in The Broken Hearts Club (2000), Out of Time (2003) and Bailey's Billion$ in 2004. He played Scott Peterson in the television movie The Perfect Husband: The Laci Peterson Story in 2004. Cain appeared regularly as Casey Manning in Las Vegas. He played Dr. Curtis Knox in a season episode of Smallville.
Currently Cain is working on God's Not Dead, A Dog for Christmas and The Appearing scheduled to be released in 2014.
