Joseph Fiennes

Salisbury, Wiltshire, England is the site of Joseph Fiennes birth on May 27, 1970. His birth name is Joseph Alberic Isarot Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes. Friends and family call him Joe. He trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and his first stage presence was The Woman in Black and then A Month in the Country. He worked for the Royal Shakespeare Company and starred in The Herbal Bed, Troilus and Cressida Son of Man, and Les Enfants Du Paradis.
In 1998 he played in Elizabeth and then again the same character in Shakespeare in Love. People Magazine picked Joseph as one of the 50 sexiest stars in 1999. Joseph plays characters who write and he is an avid painter. Joseph is also an ambassador for the Prince' Trust, a charity.
Joseph played POW Major Gibson in The Great Raid in 2005 and worked with Rachel Weiz in Enemy at the Gates. In 2006 he starred with Gwyneth Paltrow in Running with Scissors. Joseph can be seen in Vivaldi (2013) and Hercules with Dwayne Johnson in 2014.
Joseph is currently married to Maria Dolores Dieguez and they have two children. Joseph is a brother to Ralph Fiennes who is an actor.
