Anne Sinclair

Anne Sinclair is a French and American television personality who hosted one of the most popular political shows on TF1 the largest European private TV channel. Anne covered the 2008 US presidential campaign for the leading French Sunday Paper Le Journal de Dimanche as well as French TV.

Born July 15, 1948 in New York City to French born Jews, Anne's material grandfather Paul Rosenberg is one of New York and France's premier art dealers. She is heiress of his fortune. When she was only a few years old the family returned to France where Anne was educated.

She hosted a weekly Sunday evening news and political program on TF1 from 1984 to 1997. She is one of France's best known journalists and has conducted over five hundred interviews during her show's thirteen year run. She has interviewed Bill Clinton, Mikhail Gorbachev, Felipe Gonzales, Helmut Kohn, Hillary Clinton and Prince Charles. Anne's show has focused on Madonna, Sharon Stone, Paul McCartney and Woody Allen. She has won three Sept d'Or or French Emmy Awards.

Currently Ann heads the French edition of the Huffington Post, has a book about her grandfather in production and conducts blogs on US and International politics.

Anne is the mother of two sons from her marriage to Ivan Levai, a French journalist. She is currently divorced from Dominique Strauss-Kahn the ex-managing director of the International Monetary Fund. She is now living with French historian Pierre Nora.

From Paul Rosenberg's collection Anne sold an unwanted Matisse for a sum of over $33 million. She also donated a painting of her grandmother and mother painted expressly for Paul Rosenberg to the Picasso Museum in Paris. Along with her relatives, Anne filed suit against an American museum for recovery of a Matisse that was confiscated by the Nazis in 1941.
