Jeffrey Lynn Goldblum was born on October 22, 1952 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Goldblum started his acting career on the New York stage at the age of seventeen. With his own style of delivering lines Goldblum made an impression in Annie Hall in 1977. He went on to start in the remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers in 1978 and in Tenspeed and Brown Shoe in 1870. He had apart in The Big Chill in 1983 and was in the quirky film The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension in 1984. He starred in Into the Night in 985 and had a breakthrough in the Fly in 1986. Goldblum was also in Transylvania 6-5000 and Earth Girls are Easy in 1988. Goldblum is remembered for his portrayals in Jurassic Park in 1993 and the sequel The Lost World: Jurassic Park in 1997. He was also in Independence Day in 1996. Goldblum has also been in Digby Goes Down and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou in 2004. He returned to television to star in Law & Order: Criminal Intent in 2009. Usually Goldblum is cast an intellectual or an eccentric. He has a slender frame and halts in the delivery of his lines. He was the voice behind the iMac/iBook commercials and plays in The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra (a jazz band) with Peter Weller. Goldblum was married to Patricia Gaul from 1980 to 1986 and they divorced. He married Geena Davis in 1987 and by October 1990 they divorced.
