Henry Jayne Fonda was born on May 16, 1905 in Grand Island, Nebraska. His movie career spanned the 1940s through the 70s and he is one of America?€™s most popular and loved movie stars. He worked with John Ford in Young Mr. Lincoln in 1939, The Grapes of Wrath in 1940 and My Darling Clementine in 1946. Fonda served in WWII which shaped some of his iconic roles. Fonda?€™s other works include Mister Roberts in 1955 and Twelve Angry Men in 1957. He won an Oscar for On Golden Pond in 1989. Fonda was a Life Scout and served as a scout master as an adult.
