Under the Sunbeams
Horary Astrology. When a significator is within 8.30 degrees and 17 degrees of the Sun. Anthony Louis suggests that the origin of this term might be \"the heliacal rising of the Moon which is obscured by the Sun\'s light until it is 17? away from the Sun.\"

Upper Culmination
Same as upper meridian - the point at which any given heavenly body or point reaches its highest point after rising in the east and before setting in the west. Upper Culmination (or Transit) refers to the crossing closest to the observer's zenith; Lower Culmination refers to the crossing farthest from the observer's zenith. Both culminations can be seen only for circumpolar stars.

Uranian Planets
One of the eight planets "discovered " by Witte, a German Astrologer of the WW-I period, in conjunction with Friedrich Sieggruen. To date, there has been no physical confirmation of their existence. Some astrologers regard them as "psychic planets" (bodies existing at a level more subtle than the physical). They are named: Cupido, Hades, Zeus, Kronos, Appollon, Admetos, Vulcan, Poseidon.

Uranus
Major planet - the first of the planets not visible from earth with the naked eye. Discovered by Sir William Herschel on March 13 1781. Modern ruler of the sign Aquarius it has a sidereal period of 84.02 years. Keywords: Freedom, innovation, sudden changes and events. Independence, individuality, individuation, originality, unexpectedness, excitement, eccentricity, inventiveness, extremes. Electricity, inventions, explosions, flashes, awakenings, natural grasp of metaphysical laws, humanitarianism, revolution, change, thrills, surprises. Is highly individualistic and independent; an unusual and unpredictable person; highly intuitive; rhythmic -- with a natural sense of pattern and design; flashes of genius; innovative -- with great enthusiasm for the new and untried. In the business chart: Erratic behavior, independence, technology or advanced methods concerning matters of the houses Uranus occupies or rules.

Ursa Major
The Big Bear, third largest of the 88 constellations with seven stars. In America they are called the "Big Dipper" and in Britain the "Plough" One of the most easily recognizable groups of stars in the northern sky. It is circumpolar because it never completely sets below the horizon, but is visible in northern skies year-round.
