Earth Dog - Mou Hsu Year The 60-year Cycle of the Chinese Zodiac
Born: 10 March 1958
Birthplace: Meadville, Pennsylvania
Best Known As: Star of Basic Instinct
A cool blonde who combined brainy sex appeal and old-fashioned Hollywood glamour, Stone was one of Hollywood's biggest stars during the 1990s. She was a Ford Agency model in the late 1970s and then turned to acting, beginning with B-list movies like King Solomon's Mines (1985, with Richard Chamberlain) and Police Academy 4 (1987). She became a superstar after her brazen role in Basic Instinct (1992, with Michael Douglas). In 1995 she was nominated for an Oscar for her role in Martin Scorsese's crime film Casino (co-starring Robert DeNiro and Joe Pesci). She married San Francisco newspaper editor Phil Bronstein in 1998; in July of 2003 the couple announced that they would divorce.
Stone and Bronstein adopted a son, Roan, in 2000... Stone and Bronstein were in the news in June of 2001 after his left foot was bitten severely by a Komodo Dragon during a private tour of the Los Angeles Zoo.
