Ivan Pavlov

Born on September 26, 1849 Ivan Petrovich Pavlov is known for this work in classic conditioning. From his earliest childhood, Pavlov demonstrated brilliance with an energy research. He was inspired by D.I. Pisarev and I. Sechenov the fathers of physiology, to leave his religious career and devote his life to science.
1870 Pavlov enrolled in the mathematics and physics facility at the University of Saint Petersburg. He began to study physiology and sickness and made discoveries that are still referred today. Pavlov won the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine in 1904.
Pavlov did his first research project on the nerves of pancreas. Excited by this interesting physiology he continued his studies and proceeded to the Academy of Medical Surgery. In 1879 Pavlov graduated from the Medical Military Academy and won a fellowship for postgraduate work. He was able to continue his research and in 1883 his doctor's thesis was on the subject of the centrifugal nerves of the heart. His posted the idea of the basic principles of the nervous system. He further produced evidence of a pattern in the reflexes in the circulatory organs.
He worked on the physiology of digestion and the gastric function of dogs and children. He investigated a psychic secretion that regulated salivation before food. His experiment carried on to different areas of physiology and neurological sciences. His work involved research in conditioning, involuntary reflex actions and temperament. He published The Work of the Digestive Glands in 1897. He also worked transmarginal inhibition or the body's natural reaction of shutting down when exposed to stress or pain.
Pavlov and Seraphima Vasilievna Karchevskaya married in 1881 and Sara died in 1947. They had four children. Ivan Pavlov passed away on February 27, 1936 at the age of 86.
