Jude Law started acting before he was a teenager. He went from being on a daytime TV soap opera in the early 1990s to being on Broadway a few years later, nominated for a Tony award. By the late 1990s he was on the big screen, first getting wide attention for his role opposite Matt Damon in The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999). In 2001 he appeared with Ed Harris in Enemy at the Gates, and starred in Steven Spielberg's A. I. Artificial Intelligence. Law's other films include Cold Mountain (2003, with Nicole Kidman), Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (2004, with Gwyneth Paltrow) and I Heart Huckabees (2004, with Dustin Hoffman).
