Hi, Ork!
My use of the runes for divination is very much like your's, Uber-Ogre, when I feel prompted by events and sense a "need." That could mean no casting for a bit, or quite a few over a short course of time, like when I was searching for a job a few monthes ago.
I've also cast a few times for friends. I've been amazed at how quickly I have been able to get a good intuitive grasp of what the runes are saying in those instances.

Hi, Ork!
I use my runes every day. I might pull a daily rune or do a reading for either myself or someone else. Most often I use them to try and help others who are struggling with health issues and such since I am now studying Celtic Shamanism.
I rather feel that it is important, at least to me, to use the runes as much as I can. This helps me learn and recall and be able, at my end, to bind runes and various meanings. I look at it rather like any other pursuit where you have an interest. You can only get *better* if you practice. Doing a few readings and then packing the runes away for a month or so until the next time is not going to give you what you really want as a serious rune reader. One who studies their craft is one who shall excel.
Be well! |

| I usualy pull runes, when the moment arised when a litte more info on any given situation is needed. However I still pull one rune a day and before I go to bed for meditation. (this was a good suggestion from The Book of Runes by Blum). Personally I'm not into magick, even though I am obsesed with it, if that makes sense... |
