5 of swords

Anyone have insights on the 5 of swords (rider waite style?)
It's been coming up a lot for me... and it's one of the one's i'm least solid on.
the most confusing:
i pulled a card for three different men in my life. one a day... three days in a row. I pulled the 5 of swords each time.

Category: Tarot Reading

Regarding men, despite that there are nnone in my life, for the past couple of years I keep getting the King of Pentacles. Lately its King of Cups or Wands (could be my ex). Regarding money I always get the Magician.

Upright or reversed? 5 always mean turning point, but context otherwise. 5 of swords is the most intense 5, because it cuts more.

As for me, 5 of Swords is about facing one's limits i think. It's a time to back away to take everything in before moving forward.

I have conflicting thoughts on this one. My books and research shows that popular opinion is defeat in a battle, or victory through deception (cheating)...
But, in my opinion, as I study the card, and other sword cards leading up to it... Starting with the ace of swords, representing powerful force + or -, taking over one. Next is the 2, which seems to represent taking a time out away from distraction to choose one's choice of action. 3 seems to represent feeling wronged or heartbroken by someone else (some think it is a romantic triangle, which I cannot justify myself... basically it's like a friend stabbing you in the back (or heart). 4 represents a period of rest and contemplation, almost like resting up for a battle. Then, when 5 comes along... if you loo at the card, which always shows the querent in the front, unless it's lovers, two of cups, 6 of cups, etc., he has a smile on his face. I would hardly think that if one were facing defeat that he would be smiling about it. His assailants are walking away, giving up, admitting defeat because the querant has won the battle. So, in my opinion, using observance and logic, it appears to me that this card represents (from the 3 of swords to the 5) the querant facing severe opposition or mistreatment, and coming back to set things right, and succeeding... Then in the 6, we see a period of calmer times after great distress, (smoother sailings), further justifying to me that this card represents a battle won, fair and square. Does this make sense to anyof you?

I would call this card "Reclaiming your power". You have to meet your power (by facing it in others in conflict) and then integrate it (collecting the swords left by the defeated oponents).
