Dream Dictionary Broken Key

If you have a dream in which you see a broken key then this means that you feel as though you might have to take a path to get where you want to go. Make no mistake though, this is not to say that having a broken key means that you need to find a new life path, this just means you need to find a different way to get to where you already wanted to go, get a different key. To know the full significance of this difference though, you probably need to know what it means to see a door in your dreams.

A door symbolizes the newest path that you have to take in life. The door is in itself an opportunity to a new path, but at the same time, a door is just the most immediate goal that will take you to your ultimate goal in life, or it could be one door in a series of doors that will eventually lead you to where you want to go. So in other words, if you are unable to open a door it is not the end of the world and it does not mean you need to totally restructure the way that you see your life or the direction that you see yourself taking in life.

Basically to have a broken key means that you need to find a different key so that you can get through that same door. A dream like this might make you panic because you think the door is your ultimate goal, but consider what you are doing right now. There are many different goals that you have in life or that anyone might have in life. Is the one that you are trying to reach right now really the ultimate one that you really want to accomplish before you die, or is it just one more on the way to the ultimate goal like probably is for most people that have this dream?

For example, let's say that a person has a dream of getting into college and their greatest goal that they can foresee is that goal to get accepted into college but the problem is they can't afford it. They would be able to afford it if they had the cash, but they don't so they apply for a scholarship. They think that the scholarship is their key to college. Finally they get word back from the award handlers and they tell the person that their application for the award was not granted. This does not mean they will never get into college it just means they will have to apply for a new scholarship to get into school.

And once they do get into school, then the college education itself becomes the key to a new door which they will figure out throughout the course of their education. In other words a broken key is not the end of the world, it is the beginning of a new story.
