The universe can reassure you that someone is trustworthy and it can create a situation where the risks of taking that risk are minimized. However, it is up to you to take the final step.

It is true that it is painful to trust someone only to find that trust betrayed, it is true that it is nigh impossible to know someone else’s intentions with certainty. However, if you do not trust in others you cannot achieve your goals. People are not islands, we rely on the network between ourselves more than we know.
